Another Drawing from text

A new drawing Same storry a last time.
The text would go something like this in english
"The light came from the lake. He climbed a rock and looked down: It was like he looked in an unmeasurable dept. It that dept he saw strange flames that moved and spraed them self like algae on the bottom of the sea, and firelike beings swam throug it." (or something like that)

And I did some portraits as well (but they are not from that book they are from a magazine)

Drawing from text

Hi all you little and big readers
A new drawing from me.
I based it on a text from a story by Tolkien "Smith of Wooton Major"
Witch I read in Dutch so I will retranslate it back ^^,

The next surprise came 3 years later. On a Spring morning. The master chef Took his tall white had of, folded his clean shirts, hanged his white coat on a hook, took a walking stick and a little suitcase. He said good bye to his student and took off.

Wauw.. Probably the original Tolkien text is better..

But anyhow I hope you enjoy the drawing

Bikers and Monkeys

Anematic Flying Monsters from the sky

Hi, last week I did a workshop at the stranger festival in Amsterdam.
During this workshop we had to make a new movie out of old news reel footage
I decided to make a B monster movie out of it. and to animate the monsters on top of the video.
The monsters are still in begin stage of animatio but you can see the story.

Yes Fini. I made some small changes in the short but just the thing i would have done if i had a day more time. So you keep have the effect of it is done in a week. So it is almost the same.

Little Red Ridding hood

Yes it is done...well done...I can still fix things in the animation
but the storie is beeing told.

Today it was the last day of the workshop whit Andreas. I have learnt alot in this week.
In the movie I had a lot of troble whit the thinking proces of the characters. Espacaly at the moment where she starts drinking the wine. (the main question was why does she drink it.) is she sad or did she rembered what her mam said is she surpirised what the wine does?. I went that she drank out of sadness. (whit help from all the presentations we held it seemed the best way) And ofcourse What reason does the grandma take the wine from her. (the reason was made faster than the one of little red riding hood) that was She wants to drink the wine for her self.
I need to work on the animation part there for a bid MAKE IT MORE EXTREEM and i need to do the bid before it as well (different sound and a head shake) where grandma just took the wine from her and says "You should not drink this it is not good for you" and then she drinks it all.

I have had a lot of fun on the project as well. we have now a week before the final versions get burned on dvd. and Andreas said This week you should make a good movie and than make a realy good movie by the end of next week.

For now I want to thank Andreas for all his whise words of wisdom and all the great pointers he gave me. It has been a great and productif week for me.
Next week i will put the final version on youtube so you can see it in a bid better resolution. and the changes i made

Still some things to figure out but it is mostly in the ending.

today we did general story and i did a fast trow towarts character design.

I am going to animate in flash.

Tomorow we have to finhis a leica reel and the character designs

Yes i tryed to make a squirl from the preston blair book

but it was MUTCH harder than i expected

There stil has to be more wait in to the body and work in the face

and tonight I think i go and focus on sillouets

Start of my practice blog

Hi you all,

I have deside to start a practice blog.
And no i don't mean that I will practice blogging but put my practice drawing on here.
I do this to get critisme so i can learn more than i know now.
eum my learning points are
to understand what i draw and so think when i draw
to krank up my drawing and so my animation level (stronger poses and all)
and to learn to control my tablet on my computer.

I hope you give me critisme and way's to improve
